Ryan sets him down, but keeps one arm around his shoulder as he pulls him into the room and shuts the door. There's been a few small changes since the pup was here last; a simple orchid on the windowsill, a new and large stack of books next to the bed, a grey wool shawl on the chair. Nothing terribly out of character for Ryan except, perhaps, the empty space for a pair of boots between his own and his dress shoes.
"Come in! Let's have a look at you," Ryan says, stopping and stepping in front of him, hands still on his shoulders, to look him over.
He frowns softly. "It's been a while, hasn't it?" He looks older.
